On June 11, Luo Wenli, Director of the National Museum of China, met with Alexander Nyerges, Director of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts of the United States, who was in Beijing to attend the 4th Global Museum Directors Forum.
They exchanged views on deepening cooperation through exhibition exchange mechanisms and promoting professional visits and personnel exchanges, reaching broad consensus on future collaboration. During the meeting, Nyerges received the medal and certificate of the Chinese Government Friendship Award, which had previously been conferred upon him in recognition of his contributions to China–US cultural exchange.
Ding Pengbo, Deputy Director of the National Museum of China, also attended the meeting.
