The Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression was the first national liberation struggle in modern Chinese history in which the Chinese people achieved a complete victory against foreign invasion. Among the heroic forces, the Hong Kong Battalion of the Anti-Japanese Guerrilla Force, led by the Communist Party of China, collaborated with local residents across Hong Kong to effectively disrupt the strategic plans of the Japanese Army, contributing immensely to victory in the Chinese people's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression.

In the course of this epic struggle, the Chinese people gave rise to the great spirit of resistance, demonstrating to the world their profound patriotism embodied in the conviction that every citizen bears responsibility for the fate of the nation, their unyielding national integrity in the face of death, their indomitable courage to resist to the very end, and their steadfast faith in victory despite repeated hardships.

By staging this exhibition in Hong Kong, the organizers aim to engage both local residents and visitors, guiding them to remember both the suffering and the glory, to cherish peace and happiness, to draw on the lessons of history, and to carry forward the great spirit of resistance, striving together for the realization of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

The exhibition has received support from the Bank of China, the strategic partner of the National Museum of China. It is scheduled to open at the Hong Kong Museum of History on August 26, and will be open to the public from August 27 through December 15.
