In Boshan lies the nation's oldest and only archaeologically verifies ancient glaze kiln site. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, Boshan's glaze industry reached its zenith, the production radiates throughout the country and even overseas. According to ancient literature records, Boshan artisans once served in the Imperial Workshops of the Qing court, later returning to enrich their homeland with royal glassmaking techniques, thus forging its legacy as the "Glaze Capital of China."
 
Born from earthly minerals and tempered in blazing furnaces, glaze evolved from humble utilitarian objects into vessels of imperial splendor. Through generations of masterful refinement, its forms transcended rustic simplicity to achieve exquisite sophistication, while its essence ascended from mundanity to transcendent beauty. As Guanzi—the classic text born in Qi—profoundly states: "We should neither blindly revere the past nor rigidly cling to the present, but evolve with time and adapt to contemporary needs."
