Chen Chengjun was born in February 1966. He began to work in July 1988. Chen holds a bachelor’s degree in history and the qualification of Research Fellow. He is currently the Executive Deputy Director of the NMC.
From July 1988 to June 2001, he first worked with Exhibition Department of the former National Museum of Chinese History. From June 2001 to February 2004, he worked as Head of First Division of Exhibition and Design, Exhibition Department of the National Museum of Chinese History. From February 2004 to October 2005, he worked as Deputy Director (de facto director) of Exhibition Department I of the NMC, during which time he was qualified as Research Fellow in September 2005. From October 2005 to February 2013, he became Director of the Exhibition Department I of the NMC. From February 2013 to April 2019, he worked as Deputy Director of the NMC. Since April 2019, he has been working as Executive Deputy Director of the NMC.
