The exhibition was co-organized by the NMC and HEART & crafts, which was authorized by the French Ministry of Culture to promote French handicrafts. Bringing together 15 of the most talented French craftsmen and 11 Chinese master craftsmen, inheritors of intangible cultural heritage and renowned artists, the exhibition features over 180 pieces/sets of artwork, including ceramics, glass, metal forging, wheat-straw weaving, tenon-and-mortise work, leather, shadow play, feathers, folding fans, umbrellas, pleats, full engraving, gravure photo, and woodblock watermarks. The exhibition centers on the contemporary innovations in the traditional Chinese and French craftsmanship to interpret the contemporary “craftsmanship spirit” in both countries.
