As 2023, the Year of the Rabbit, approaches, the National Museum of China has carefully selected more than 80 pieces (sets) of artifacts from its collection and launched the Celebrating the Year of the Rabbit: 2023 Chinese New Year Exhibition to showcase China’s long-standing history and, in particular, its colorful rabbit culture, the culture of the Chinese zodiac, and traditional Chinese New Year culture from multiple perspectives. In his New Year address, President Xi Jinping pointed out: “At every turn of the year, we always think of the great character of resilience that the Chinese nation has carried forward through millennia. It gives us still greater confidence as we continue our way forward.” On the occasion of the arrival of the New Year, all things emerge from the ground and are full of vitality everywhere. We excitedly and joyfully dedicate this exhibition to all who come to see it, and hope to celebrate the arrival of the Year of the Rabbit together with you with best wishes for peace and prosperity!
