On October 10, 2020, the signing ceremony of the strategic cooperation agreement between the National Museum of China and the National Academy of Chinese Theatre Arts was held at the NMC. Wang Chunfa, Director of the NMC, Gong Yu, Secretary of the CPC Committee of NACTA, Shan Wei, Secretary of the CPC Committee of the NMC and Deputy Director of the NMC, Feng Jingying, Financial Director of NMC, Ding Pengbo, Deputy Director of the NMC, Chen Li, Secretary of the Disciplinary Committee of the NMC, Yin Xiaodong, President of NACTA, Xu Chao, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of NACTA, Song Fei, Vice President of NACTA, and Wang Ze, Vice President of NACTA, attended the ceremony.

Wang Chunfa said that both the NACTA and the NMC are important establishments for the protection and inheritance of fine traditional Chinese culture. The strategic cooperation agreement reached by both sides is an effective try in deepening the implementation of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instruction on the work of literature and art in the new era. It is also an operation that explores the strong creativity and influence of fine Chinese traditional culture and provides the eternal driving force in pace with the time for consolidating the cultural self-confidence of the whole nation. It cultivates the common value and ideal spirit in a time of major changes in the Chinese society. He hopes that the strategic cooperation can contribute to the inheritance of fine Chinese theater culture and cultivation of outstanding young talents, and that both sides can join hands in facilitating the “go global” move of fine Chinese theater culture, so the world would feel the glamour of ancient Chinese music.

Gong Yu said that the NMC is the ancestral hall and the most important shrine of Chinese culture and the highest establishment of history, culture and art that reflects fine traditional Chinese culture, revolutionary culture and advanced socialist culture. The NACTA is the only independent school for fostering high-level specialized talents in theater arts in China. He believes that after the signing of the strategic cooperation agreement, the scope, level and depth of cooperation for both sides will continuously expand to progressively reach the goal of a strong-strong association and mutual benefits; and they will make contributions to the creative transformation and innovative development of fine traditional Chinese culture together.

In the presence of Wang Chunfa and Gong Yu, Shan Wei and Yin Xiaodong signed the strategic cooperation agreement representing both sides. According to the agreement, both sides will conduct deep cooperation in aspects such as holding exhibitions, soliciting collection items, academic research and talent cultivation in line with the principle of complementary advantages, resource-sharing, concerted development and mutual benefits. At the signing ceremony, Gong Yu presented three precious vinyl records to the NMC on behalf of the NACTA.
